“Learning with the world: Global Collaboration”
Mali, an elementary school teacher in Newmarket, ON, is one of two country co-ordinators for iEARN Canada. She is a regular participant in international projects with her own students, and works tirelessly to connect people all over the world for the purpose of global education. Jaclyn teaches at a small secondary school in Penetanguishene, ON, as part of an alternative secondary program run in partnership with the Georgian Bay Native Friendship Centre for First Nations, Metis and Inuit students. Together, they have participated in projects such as “Rock Our World” where students create music with students from across the globe, and Earthwatchers, where students monitor land in Borneo for deforestation.
